Professional Experience
Damon joined the Cornish & Carey retail team in June of 2005, and brought with him a unique diversification of real estate experience.
Since 1995 Damon has been an integral part of his family’s commercial property management and construction companies, where he worked as a Project Manager. In his PM role, he developed a strong working knowledge of construction and facilities management; tenant and labor relations; and contract negotiations. While pursuing his Business & Marketing degree, Damon interned with Keenan/Lovewell Ventures of Palo Alto where he participated in project identification and conception, architectural planning and development.
A lifetime of personal involvement with real estate development, specifically in Northern California, has provided Damon with invaluable experience, understanding and a strong working knowledge of all aspects of development, including marketing, site selection, site planning and architectural design, entitlements and tenant mix.

- Since joining C&C, Damon has completed multiple high profile transactions for numerous Fortune 500 companies, a partial list and most notably as exclusive representative for; Lowe’s Home Improvement, Safeway, Any Mountain, FedEx Kinko’s, Jenny Craig (a Nestle subsidiary) and Walgreen’s.
- A partial list of the developer/landlord clients Damon has completed transaction for include: Vail Resorts, The Principal Group, Shea Properties, Dollinger Properties, Hunter Properties, SPI Holdings, Fairfield Residential, Essex Property Trust, Regency, Sand Hill Property Co., and The Carlyle Group.
- 2009 - Santa Clara Retail’s #1 agent.
- Appeared on C&C Santa Clara’s prestigious Top Ten Performers List 12 times.
- Transaction history surpasses 1,400,000 square feet and $160,000,000 in consideration.
- On 8/20/2010, recognized by the Silicon Valley Business Journal for having the #1 and #7 largest retail leases for fiscal 2009 (Tenant Rep for Lowe’s HIW & Safeway).
- In 2007, 2008 & 2009 awarded Costar Group’s “Power Broker” award for high career and annual transaction volume in Northern California & Silicon Valley
Personal Information
Raised in Menlo Park, California, Damon is an avid outdoorsman and equestrian and spends much of his free time skiing, skydiving, golfing, backpacking the high country, or riding the trails.
Education
Damon attended Wartburg College in Iowa in 2004, a Liberal Arts College, where he was the catcher for their nationally ranked, Division Champion baseball team.
