Professional Background
Berk began a career in real estate with The Stitzel Company developing high end retail projects in the Union Square area of San Francisco, Wilshire Blvd & Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, and Pasadena. He worked with tenants such as Hermes, Tiffany’s, Gucci’s and other Rodeo Drive main stays.
Using the knowledge gained from the development side of the business, Berk chose to expand opportunities by taking the position as Vice President of Commercial Services for T R I Commercial. For fifteen years he has worked in all real estate related activities in both urban and suburban markets. He has been Top Retail Produce in 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995 and 1999.
In April of 2003, Berkshire Holdings Inc. was established. A Real Estate Consulting company whose mission was to provide hands on commercial real estate consulting to Tenants, Developers, Buyers and Owners of Retail Properties.
Berk joined the newly established Larkspur, CA office Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank in April of 2010, specializing in acquisition and disposition of land & buildings in urban, suburban, and rural areas of California. He provides the necessary tools for retail decision makers such demographic studies, access to ownership statistics, aerial photos, void and competition studies, traffic counts and governmental and zoning information.
