Robin Newton has 30 years of extensive commercial real estate experience representing landlords and tenants covering retail, office, and warehouse transactions. Prior to joining Cornish & Carey Commercial retail division in 2003 she spent more than 20 years in Honolulu, Hawai’i and the Pacific Rim where she focused on high rise office and retail leasing, development and redevelopment of urban properties, investment properties, 1031 exchanges, ground leases and corporate expansion covering millions of square feet.

Robin’s personal experience includes exclusive leasing and sale representative for numerous landlords and tenants.  She has completed commercial acquisitions in excess of $60 million in investment, retail, warehouse, land, ground leases and income properties in several states as principal and buyer’s representative. Her experience also includes development and entitlements, construction, permitting, zoning and environmental issues.

Robin has been or is an exclusive representative for the following centers in California:

Robin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences and planning and her postgraduate degree in Solar/Energy Engineering at Sonoma State University.  As an Energy Engineer in Hawai’i she designed several solar, waste heat recovery and photovoltaic systems as well as established all solar BTU sizing guidelines throughout the State of Hawai’i. Relocating from Northern California to Hawai’i upon graduating she spent several years designing alternative energy systems and performing economic analyses until engaging full time in commercial real estate, and becoming a member of ICSC.  Robin resides in San Ramon.
