Robin Newton has recently joined the Cornish & Carey Commercial office in Pleasanton specializing in the retail sales and leasing. Her main focus is in the East-Tri-Valley area within the I-680 and I-580 corridor. Prior to joining Cornish & Carey Commercial Robin spent over 20 years in commercial real estate throughout the West Coast States, Hawaiian Islands and the Pacific Rim. She has extensive experience in site acquisitions, income properties, corporate expansion, relocations, development, ground leases, and telecommunications transactions. She is also an owner and investor of several investment and income properties. She has been involved in over 18 years of full-time brokerage in office, retail and warehouse leasing encompassing over 2 million square feet of inventory and with acquisitions in excess of 50 million dollars including numerous 1031 exchanges. She has successfully represented many large landowners and tenants. Upon Relocating back to Northern California in 1999 she represented telecommunication firms in site acquisitions for Sprint & AT & T networking their Santa Clara County wireless communication network where she become their top producer . After completing her contract for telecom networking she spent 2 years with Meachan/Oppenheimer Inc., focusing in retail leasing and redevelopment in the East-Tri-Valley area. Robin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences and planning as well as her degree in Energy Engineering at Sonoma State University. Relocating from Northern California to Hawaii upon graduating she spent several years designing alternative energy systems and performing economic analysis until engaging full time in commercial real estate. She currently resides with her husband and son in San Ramon. |
